I've never played a visual novel. But I can say that I have and also that I don't understand them. I did enjoy the story, for me visual novels remove a lot of agency which is why I think they don't appeal to me. Great work some needs to pay @NebulWriting more money for carrying this whole thing with his giant writing chops.
